The future of print at Pamex from 27 to 30 January

The Bombay Exhibition Centre is about to host Pamex 2026, and in the usual flurry of glossy brochures and optimistic pronouncements, one can discern the anxieties of an industry caught between two irreconcilable forces: the tactile, carbon-heavy legacy of ink on paper, and the hyper-efficient, data-driven mandate of Industry 4.0. The show’s promise, "bigger than ever," feels less like a boast and more like a necessary exorcism of doubt.

Overview

Pamex 2026 will take place from 27–30 January 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai. Organised by Print-Packaging.com and owned by the All India Master Printers Federation, the exhibition is expected to host more than 500 exhibitors from India and overseas, with over 800 machines on display and around 250 new product launches.

Branded under the theme Future is EcoTech, Pamex 2026 is positioned as a major platform for technology adoption, supplier engagement and investment decision-making for the Indian and south-east Asian print and packaging markets.

The show will cover the full spectrum of printing and packaging technologies, including pre-press, press and post-press equipment, packaging machinery, finishing systems, inks and consumables. Key growth segments such as labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons and corrugated packaging will feature prominently, alongside digital print technologies across toner and inkjet platforms.

Sustainability and automation will be central themes, with a strong focus on eco-friendly materials, advanced finishing, MIS, AI-led workflow automation, colour management and smart factory solutions built on IoT frameworks.
