Square Digital recently invested in the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080, replacing our older C3070 model.
Yogesh Shedge of Square Digital said the upgrade was necessary to improve media handling and to take advantage of new features like duplex banner printing.
“Since we’ve been working with Konica Minolta systems for almost a decade, we didn’t need much training. However, the engineering team provided excellent support during installation and were quick to respond to all our operational queries,” he said.
Along with the AccurioPress C4080, the company also uses a Konica Minolta AccurioPress C3080, Bizhub Press 1250 and AccurioPress 6120 for monochrome printing. “We’ve also set up lamination and cutting machines to handle finishing work in-house, allowing us to complete the entire job cycle under one roof,” Shedge said.
Square Digital was established around 2006–2007 with a strong focus on wide-format printing. As demand for fast and high-quality colour output grew, the company shifted to digital printing. “Initially, we worked with a different brand, but in 2014, we brought in our first Konica Minolta machine. Since then, we’ve continued to evolve, expand, and consistently deliver customised short-run jobs for a wide range of clients,” Shedge said
Yogesh Shedge is the key person overseeing operations at Square Digital. He has led the business from its early days and continues to be actively involved in all areas from planning to execution.
The company’s main clients include corporate companies, creative agencies, and educational institutions. It regularly handles short-run jobs like brochures, catalogues, academic material, and customised print requirements that demand precision, speed, and consistency.
It currently has a team of six to seven people. “Our staff manage various parts of the production workflow, including prepress, machine operations, and post-press work such as lamination and cutting. The team is small but highly efficient,” he said.
He added, “With the enhanced efficiency and higher volume capabilities of the AccurioPress C4080, we anticipate recovering our investment within 10 to 12 months, depending on the market demand. Previously, our monthly production with the AccurioPress C3080 was around 50,000 prints; after upgrading to the C4080, we’ve been able to consistently achieve nearly 1 lakh prints per month. The ongoing service support from Konica Minolta has been consistent and helpful, making the transition smooth and productive for us.”
