ITC’s Packaging and Printing Division wins the top prize at PrintWeek Awards 2019 amidst serious competition in the category.

The 94-year-old packaging powerhouse began its journey in Munger, Bihar to cater to its tobacco packaging requirement. It has been at the forefront of technology investments and its factories in Chennai and Haridwar are certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

According to JK Doshi & Co, our official auditor, with a 9.42% increase in net worth as a percentage of sale, the highest in the category by a considerable margin, the company deserved the top honours. ITC Packaging and Printing Division also registered a superior increase in current ratio of 0.31%.

ITC Packaging and Printing Division under R Senguttuvan, its chief executive, has focused on the adoption of initiatives such as lean methodology, including 5S; quick changeovers and reduction of waste. The company’s cross-functional Product Introduction Process team has been an integral part of its success story with several innovations in design.
