During the ceremony, the IDEAlliance scholarship was awarded to three students of third year printing: Prajakta Shetye, Harshvardhan Mahajan and Sandesh Tikande. “We are extremely proud to support this college and most certainly support the future generation of the industry every way we can, just as we do all over the world.

On behalf of the Idealliance Foundation, I personally congratulate all the scholarship recipients, their commitment to education, all those that support their education and I very much look forward to watching the impact all of these students will have on our great industry, said Tim Baechle, CEO Idealliance.

All the guests and the personnel from the industry did a walk-through around the department. The final year students displayed their projects to the guests and briefed them.

Printera 2020 saw events like a print quiz, pre-press creativity, photography and the technical marathon. Government Polytechnic, Beed emerged as the best team of Printera 2020. Their students won the first prize in most of the events.

Printera is an event organised by the Circle of Printing Engineers (COPE) of the Department of Printing Technology and Graphics Communication, PVG’s COET, Pune. It was first conducted in 2014; and till 2018, Printera was conducted only at the departmental and college level with a few technical and non-technical events. In 2019 the COPE Committee invited students from the printing colleges all over Maharashtra like SIES (Mumbai), GIPT (Mumbai), Government Polytechnic (Beed), KTHM College (Nasik) and MIPT (Pune), the response was heartening.

The COPE committee, under the guidance of head of department, Prof. Madhura P Mahajan and COPE In-charge – Prof. Laxmi Sapkal are keen to integrate all the learnings from this event and plans to design Printera 2021, on "a much larger scale, with a greater involvement from the industry and also with additional zeal."
