Jitender Rohilla, general manager for sales of Komori India, said that five more orders have been confirmed, bringing the total to 12 in the first two days. Moreover, Rohilla disclosed that Komori will end FY 2024 with 50 Komori press installations, which is 14 more than what was installed in March 2023.

Rohilla also revealed that the Indian print industry is investing, and most of their presses are GL37 and GL40 presses. 35% of these presses are six-plus coater configurations and will be installed in the packaging segment. The bulk of these repeat orders are from existing customers, which is a testament to their confidence in Komori's presses. "The Indian print industry is investing, and most of our presses are GL37 and GL40 presses; 35% of these presses are six-plus coater configurations and will be installed in the packaging segment. What is more interesting is that a bulk of these are repeat orders from our existing customers, which exudes confidence in our presses," said Rohilla.

Among the five deals closed today, one is GL637 plus coater UV IR, one is GL 629 plus coater UV IR, one is GL 437, and two are Enthrone presses.

At the show, Komori unveiled its perfector press, the LP-140/A40 convertible perfecting press and KP-Connect. The first LP-140/A40 press will be installed in North India at a press that produces Bibles.

According to Rohilla, the perfector press is perfect for a variety of single-color and two-sided jobs. While the demand for multi-coloured printing continues to rise, Komori has developed this press to meet the persistent demand for single-colour printing items such as dictionaries, paperbacks, study aids, user manuals, and pharma inserts.

Komori's KP-Connect is printing task control software that enables anyone to share the latest operating information in real-time. This printing software is positioned between the MIS and production site, making complex task control visible. "Capable of integrated control, including schedule creation and distribution and production results collection, KP-Connect is designed for both offset presses and digital printing systems," said Rohilla.
