MMS knowledge-sharing roundtable conference and LTA on 14 April

Mumbai Mudrak Sangh will be hosting its annual Roundtable Conference on 14 April 2023, along with the Lifetime Achievement Award function on the same evening. The MMS previous event was successfully hosted at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa in Alibau (a coastal town, south of Mumbai, in western India). This time it will be held at MCA Club in BKC, Mumbai.

The Roundtable Conference registration will be at 1pm, followed by a networking lunch. The conference will commence at 2pm with the introduction of a new concept for the event.

Tushar Dhote, the key coordinator of the MMS Roundtable event, informed PrintWeek that the theme of this year’s Roundtable Conference is Rethink, Redesign, and Realign.

Dhote said, “Technology is evolving rapidly, and so is the pace at which major Indian print businesses have their global footprint already. The brands have moved on phygitally which entails utilising technology to create a seamless customer experience.” He added, “This conference offers the latest upgrades, emerging technologies and innovations, networking and solutions over a candid one-to-one discussion among printers, industry experts and tech partners, followed by a panel discussion.”

The tables for the Roundtable conference are supported by Konica Minolta (digital labels), TechNova and HP Indigo (digital packaging), Omet (mono cartons through narrow-web flexo), Emerging Technologies (corrugation in design and packaging) Fujifilm (high-value digital short-run), Alludo - CorelDraw (design automation), Bindwel and Insight (POD Books) and Indus Analytics (MIS).

This year MMS’ Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 recipient is Anand Limaye, the man who has been helming the 91-year-old India Printing Works.

A print technologist from GIPT, Limaye has been driving India Printing Works for the last 40 years. Limaye’s publishing house, ‘Inking Innovations’ has published around 100 titles in the past nine years. “But even more noteworthy is his work in the public domain which impresses many with its consistency. A people person, he has been a 24 x 7 mentor and a guide to many people in the industry. He has served the printing associations in various capacities at the local, state and national level and delivered various noteworthy results,” said Dhote of MMS.

The MMS Lifetime Achievement Award function will begin at 6.30 pm. Hon former governor of Uttar Pradesh, Ram Naik, will be the chief guest; while the former governor of Nagaland, Padmanabh Acharya will be the guest of honour.
