The HP Indigo 12000 digital press offers superior print quality, high productivity, and wide versatility which will enable Graphica to produce the finest digital prints in B2 size. With HP Indigo’s liquid electrophotography (LEP) technology, the digital printer delivers crisp linework, attractive images, and smooth vignettes.

Sanjay Sharma, director, Graphica Digital, said, “We are pleased with our association with HP for over five years. Our relationship has grown stronger as the HP installations enable us to deliver high-quality printing solutions to our customers.”

He said that with the HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press, the company is looking forward to reinventing its business and discovering new dimensions. “With this new acquisition, we offer a wide range of applications for the photo market, such as B2 wedding albums, personalised amateur photo books, gift boxes, and wedding invites. Having the unique capabilities of this digital press in terms of media versatility, production speed, colour gamut and growing demand of short-run print jobs, now we can easily fulfil the customer needs for light packaging, sheetfed labels to startups, MSMEs and local clients,” he said.

Sharma added that the investment reflects the company’s goal to become the first high-quality print service provider in India which has an established world-class digital printing facility and offers world-class products at an affordable price.

The machine also features a fifth ink station for white ink and spot colours. This colour accuracy will allow Graphica to strengthen its position in its core business of printing best-in-class wedding albums across different sizes and specialty printing jobs. This extra colour range will allow the company to achieve Pantone emulations, using the only Pantone licensed six and seven colour on-press solutions in digital printing.

HP PrintOS helps customers get the most out of their presses, simplifying and automating production for customers to innovate and grow. Graphica is utilising this offering to keep a daily track of its production and to monitor the press’ real-time performance. The usage of PrintOS allows the company to monitor its efficiency and mitigate losses if any.

A Appadurai, country manager, Indigo and inkjet business solutions, HP India, said, “Over the last decade, the digital printing industry has undergone a tremendous transformation. With the revolution of HP’s HD digital printing press for the photo and commercial printing industry, today our customers are able to innovate and technologically advance their offerings to meet the evolving needs of the market. We are proud to collaborate with Graphica Digital and hope their trust and faith in HP’s digital technology helps them achieve the highest standard of print quality which will be their competitive differentiator.”

The HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press is manufactured carbon neutral and offers reduced production waste, a takeback programme, and energy efficiency. An easy fit for offset printers, the machine offers a solution for the digital printing of any commercial application on virtually any substrate.
