The four-decade-old packager, which has been using the latest technology to manufacture a variety of packaging materials in roll and pouch form for various products and industries, will be setting up a new facility as a fresh vertical for the company. The new HP Indigo 25K will ensure supply in minimum turnaround time and negligible MOQ, especially for those hesitant to invest heavily in packaging from the start.

The 25K is expected to be installed at the new facility in June 2024.

The next generation, led by Priyesh Dalmia, Aman Bachhawat, and Ronak Bachhawat, is carrying forward Vikas and Rajesh Bachhawat's legacy. The next generation believes in the strong ethos of innovation.

“The installation of this groundbreaking technology shall be a game-changer for the flexible packaging industry in Southern India,” said Priyesh Dalmia.

Over the past three years, Champion has been expanding comprehensively as part of a strategy for the next decade to meet customer demands responsibly and offer a diverse portfolio of products. “To support the smooth operation of HP Indigo and achieve maximum value, the company is fully equipped with finishing technology. The drive for innovation within the company is well-planned, with the recent installation of a dedicated line for flat bottom pouches and an extrusion coating lamination machine — both being the first in Bangalore,” said Dalmia.

Why HP? Ronak Bachhawat added, “HP is a respected brand and company that has led innovation in this domain. The company has not only led the innovation with its state-of-the-art machine but has also partnered with various other companies to support the machine owner from pre-press to finishing with only one aim of providing maximum customer satisfaction.”

Aman Bachhawat, who recently joined the business, added, “On my recent visit to the HP centre in Singapore, I was amazed to see their list of collaborations, and they are all working with the same passion and energy to innovate.”

A Appadurai, country manager, HP Industrial Print at HP India, said, “Since the introduction of the HP Indigo 25 in 2021, there has been a significant adoption of the technology in India, leading to a digital transformation in the flexible packaging industry. This has underscored the necessity for brands to have a localised supply chain capable of providing the speed and agility required in today's fast-paced market. Champion's regional investment further reinforces this trend, and we are excited to collaborate with the company in the upcoming months as they embark on this endeavour.”
