At the show, the company displayed its recently developed drying conveyer and steam heating system.

According to the company, this is one of the smallest box-drying conveyors made up of a high-carbon steel wire mesh chain. It can give high temperature at low voltage. The uniform and consistent drawing process of the machine ensures consistent box strength, wherein hot air generated in the machine penetrates all areas of the box uniformly.

It has versatile operations for attaining optimum moisture level and ensures zero box deforming as it has a 6-inch opening to pass the boxes. This machine can enhance the quality of corrugated boxes produced in semi-automatic plants at par with automatic plants, it can work effectively and efficiently on an electricity load 20-kw and can be customised according to the customer's requirement.

Rahul Tyagi, managing director Kalka Group, said, “The Boiler or steam heating system shown at the expo is a made in India product. It is specially designed for the corrugation industry. A particular license is required for the installation of a boiler of one tonne and above but this machine has been designed to work at the maximum capacity of 900-kg so there is no requirement for a licence. This heating system is a great example of sustainability, as it can be heated by PNG or LPG which is pollution-free, saves cost and protects the environment.”
