Amit Electrostat installs a Ricoh digital production engine

Delhi-based Amit Electorstat adds a Ricoh Pro C901s digital production press in its array of digital printing presses.

Virender Kasana said: "We went for Ricoh because its mat finish printability and printing quality is near to offset, lesser click charges and the services provided by Ricoh."

Ricoh Pro C901s is compatible with the Creo C-81 colour controller. The digital printing press prints 90 pages per minute at 1200 x 1200dpi resolution.

Digital printing company is a family business run by Mahendra Kasana and his two sons Amit and Sumit and Virender Kasana and his sons Ankit and Nagendra.

Dharam Reprographic, Verma Electrostat and Sumit Fax are the three sister concerns of Amit Electrostat in the same premises.

Earlier the company was a Xerox dominate printing house having one Docucolor 7000 AP, three Docucolor 5000 AP and a Konica Minolta KM 6501.

The company started colour printing since the year 2005 and 2008 was a stupendous year for the company subject to the installation of three digital printing presses in that year.

The artwork section of the company includes six designers with latest software. "We target for six lakh sheets per month within the next three to four months with this Ricoh machine. As we printed around five lakh sheets per day before this Ricoh. We printed 40,000 sheets with a size of 13 x 19inches in only three days," said Kasana.

This is the second installation of Ricoh Pro C901s in the country after Ram Laxman at Bengaluru and first at Nehru Place, one of the Xerox dominated and major market for digital printing.

Walk-in customers come in major capacity at the printing facility. The company's major clientele include: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), New Delhi Power Limited (NDPL) and Bajaj Capital.
 
The digital printing company provides wide format print facility with two HP plotters with the size of 52 and 60 inches. It runs seven days per week by 35 people in 5000sq/ft rented space.
