Adway boosts finishing capabilities with Kongsberg, KDX Machines

Anuj Jain, director at Adway Print Concept, said, “The Kongsberg sample maker has transformed the way we approach sample development and short-run jobs. We no longer rely on dies, which not only saves time but also reduces errors and eliminates dependency on external tooling. After thorough market research, we found Kongsberg to be the best fit for our needs. The machine was showcased at PrintPack India 2025 and was delivered to us directly from the show floor.”

Alongside this, the company also added the KDX HZ lamination machine, sourced through Shenso Graphic Solutions, to meet its increasing demand for laminated sheets, especially for metPET applications. “We were looking for a robust lamination solution, and the KDX machine stood out despite being a higher investment. Its build quality, automation, and consistent output make it well worth the cost. We’ve also opted for the peel-off functionality, making it a more eco-conscious production tool,” Jain explained.

Currently, Adway is laminating approximately 75,000 sheets per day in 24-hour operations, with plans to scale up further in response to rising demand. The automation has helped reduce manpower requirements while maintaining output quality.

The company is converting around 500 tonnes of kraft, paper, and board monthly, catering to a wide range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, electronics, electrical, and cosmetics.

Looking ahead, Adway Print Concept is planning further investments in a liner carton machine and a carton inspection system to enhance its finishing capabilities and quality assurance processes.
