More than 100 delegates from 65 print firms have confirmed their presence for Flexo Gurukul’s two day technical seminar which will be held from 28 to 29 April 2014 at Khar Gymkhana Club in Mumbai.

Pawandeep Sahni, of Fasco Printech, said, “We have got an overwhelming response for the first edition of the two-day technical seminar and interestingly more than 50 percent of the delegates are from out of Mumbai.”

The confirmed companies include: Manipal Technologies, MetroStar Print Solutions, UPM, Leo Designs and Packaging, SB Packaging, Shree Ram Veritech, Interact Texlabels, Duggal Labels, Kaygee Loparex, Dinsons Self Stick, Pragati Pack, IDMC, Best Labels, Star Labels, AM Board Products, Veekay Industries, Prakash Labels, Sonic Labels, Master Extrusions, Sel Jegat Printers, SA Graphics, Printers Den, Multiflex Print, Jain Transfer, Mtech, Procam FlexoPrints and Veepee Graphics.

Frank Burgos, US-based technical expert in the field of flexo will be speaking at Flexo Gurukul’s two day technical seminar.

Frank Burgos will be speaking on main flexo printing inks, controlling ink properties throughout a press run, photopolymer plates, photoplymer plate defects and their effects on printing, flexo plate mounting tapes, the anilox rollers and tying it all together.

Flexo Gurukul, a concept and initiative by Fasco Printech, is a seminar-based technical training programme for printers who are printing on flexo presses or are willing to enter into the narrow and wide-web flexography printing.

Pawandeep Sahni, of Fasco Printech, said, “Every session will be advanced than the previous one. Hence it is recommended that participants maintain continuity. To make sure that this continuity remains, we have a ‘first right of refusal for all participants who join us for the April 2014 session. This means if a participant joined us for Spring 2014, his seat gets blocked for Autumn 2014 automatically.”
