Four must-attend events in May

PrintWeek India selects four events that provide a combination of learning and opportunity to network.

Interpack, 4 to 10 May, Germany
Interpack 2017 expects a record turnout. Around 2,700 exhibitors are expected from 4 to 10 May 2017 from 60 countries. Messe Düsseldorf, the organiser, says it has about 20% more space than was available at the exhibition centre with its 262,400 square metres in 19 halls.

Interpack is a unique platform for businesses offering products and solutions in packaging technology and related processes as well as packaging media and materials for the various segments of this industry: food, beverages, confectionery and baked goods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food consumer goods and industrial goods. The products and services presented here will be supplemented by several innovative specialist areas.

Fespa, 8 to 12 May, Germany
Fespa, the global print expo has come up with a new message ‘Dare to print different’, to inspire the print community, for its expo which comes to Hamburg, Germany from 8 to 12 May 2017.
Fespa 2017 includes three distinct zones devoted to screen digital wide-format and textile printing, encouraging printers and sign makers to explore the full spectrum of applications including graphics and soft signage, industrial print, garments and promotional items, interior décor, surface decoration and vehicle wrapping.

With Fespa 2017, the visitor has the opportunity to experience the co-located shows European Sign Expo event for non-printed signage and the growth potential from interior décor applications will also benefit the visitors a free access to Printeriors.

China Print, 9 to 13 May, China
The second biggest print show in the world after Drupa, Print China 2017, will be held in Beijing from 9 to 13 May.

Despite Drupa in 2016, which was attended by over 13,000 Indians; and PrintPack India 2017 in Noida held in February, the Beijing show is expected to have a significant footfall from Indian printers and converters.

Packaging Premiere, 16 to 18 May, Italy
The first Packaging Première is just two weeks away. The venue in Milan, Italy will host a selective exhibition devoted to packaging for luxury brands from 16 to 18 May 2017.

The interest recorded among potential visitors is also very high. The event is expected to attract 25% of its visitors from abroad, in proportion with the 25% of confirmed exhibitors from other countries. At least 2,000 managers are expected to attend, representing users of luxury packaging products and services for fashion brands, the cosmetics and perfume sector, jewellery and watches, new luxury gourmet sectors, as well as the experience sector.
