PrintPack 2019: Memory Repro Systems offers automation

Delhi –based manufacturer of pre- and post-press equipment showcased automated and upgraded versions of its existed products during PrintPack 2019.

Sanjeev Chaddha, marketing director, Memory Repro Systems, said “We displayed our semi-automatic rigid box manufacturing machine with robotic arm. The conveyor line has been completely manufactured by us, which consists of auto paper feeder, gluing station, robotic arm for the accurate positing of the box. At the end of the conveyor, you have the box forming machine to wrap around and to produce the complete box.”

The company has also upgraded its case-maker from semi-automatic to fully automatic to produce 750 cases/hour. It is servo controlled with four-side rolling in a single pass.

“We also showcased a wide range of thermal lamination machines. These are semi-automatic lamination machines with electromagnetic heat/induction heat. It increases the speed of the machine from 15-m/min to 25-m/min,” Chaddha said.

It includes other advanced features like PLC touch panel, air shaft for ease of operation for loading of the film by the operator, 360 degrees arm opening so that single operator can do make ready of the machine.

The company displayed 12 products and 90% of them were upgraded version. Chaddha said automation is well accepted because manual labour does not produce quality and consistent products, wastage and rejection directly relate to the cost.
