Zhongke’s new grooving machines at Replika, TCPL

Widely used in high-end production of rigid boxes, the KLQ-600 and the SLQ-600 have been designed to do horizontal as well as vertical grooving in a single operation. This new feature helps reduce operational costs, and achieve higher productivity and accuracy.

The KLQ-600 has been installed at TCPL, and the SLQ-600 has been installed at Replika Packaging. 

The KLQ-600 is suitable for V-grooving of greyboards as well as MDF. Equipped with specialised aligning system, collection and transfer section, it ensures that the paper/paperboard enters the grooving section straight. This improves grooving accuracy; avoiding high and low corners after the paper/paperboard is formed into shape, caused by poor grooving accuracy.

It also comes with an option of online corner cutting and grooving in one single operation, that eliminates the tedious die-cutting process. 

The SLQ-600 can groove paper/board from thickness of 160-gsm to 450-gsm. 

The grooved paper is widely used for wrapping high-end mobile phone boxes, chocolate boxes, luxury rigid boxes, as well as for inner trays. 

“These machines have been developed keeping in view the current market requirement to complement high-speed rigid box machines. The machine reduces the process to a single operation, thus saving time and labour cost. Plus, the accuracy level is high,” Rohit Rajpal, director Zhongke India, said.

He added, “The machine with its fully automatic feature is able to finish the product in one operation, hence helps us achieve better production as well as quality.”

“With high production and faster turnaround time, we are able to boost the overall capacity of our entire rigid box plant. The wastage level has been drastically reduced to negligible. The machine has given us a huge operational benefit,” Sanandan Seth, director Replika Press, said.
