Weldon Celloplast makes a mark with Omet and Rotocontrol
Weldon Celloplast showcased Omet machines at its busy stall. The company has already sold the first Omet press in India. The Flexy press on the stand, on demo throughout the show will be installed at Arunodaya Paper Products in Hyderabad; while an all-servo X-Flex has been sold to Renault Paper Products which is located in Palghar.

Weldon Celloplast makes a mark with Omet and Rotocontrol
Mahendra Shah, director at Renault, said: "With the addition of the Omet X-Flex narrow web press to our production capacity, we are able to produce jobs at a faster speed. The output on the Omet is equivalent to the output of two machines. I like the engineering, ease of operation and output quality."
Shah said: "One key feature of the X-Flex press is its uniquely engineered print station that combines the impression cylinder and chill roll. This is the source of the short web path. It is one reason the press is able to average 23 metres – and from the 24th metre we achieve a sellable product."
Renault Paper Products started its operation in the 6,500 sq/ft unit which catered to 100 metric tonnes of continuous stationery per month. It diversified into the label business. The company moved its operation to a 23,000 sq/ft unit in 2009.
Meanwhile Rotocontrol has also received its first order from India for a RSC slitter rewinder inspection machine. The order was – once again – facilitated by Weldon Celloplast, who are Rotocontrol’s recently appointed agent in India.
"This order was achieved through a combination of technology offering, a previous positive client relationship, and the availability of local agent support," said Ralph Beier, international manager for Rotocontrol.
