The debut-making kit is ideal for high-volume transactional printing, said Satoko Takuma, manager for overseas marketing strategy dept at Riso. “As an affordable entry into production inkjet colour or as a reprint, it’s best for short-run prints or backup solution for larger print facilities.”

Available with a choice of controller options and formats the Valezus T2100 can be integrated into any workflow environment. The T2100 inkjet kit uses oil-based pigment inks, can print in sizes of A3-plus, SRA3 and ledger at a maximum speed of 320ppm duplex.

Print volume is drastically down as most education institutions are closed. So, the demand for printed materials is down. They don’t have any other option but to use education materials in soft format,” Ranjith Kadiroo, vice-president, sales, Riso India.

Yet, he added that looking at the present scenario, the company is expecting that Indian printers will be more interested in going for fully atomatised set up, so that they can reduce human intervention. “Being a manufacturer of production inkjet printer, our objective is to provide a perfect solution for our customers,” he said. “Also, many customers are finding it difficult to run bigger machines, as print volumes are drastically down. They are looking for viable and less labour-oriented machines.”

Kadiroo added that print on demand is gaining further momentum. “Print only what is required. The printers who understand it faster and take necessary steps will have a better chance of growing,” he said.
