On the new investment, Ankit Kamani, director, Vimal Flexoprint, said, “The Nilpeter machine offers enticing performance in the context of today’s cut-throat competition. The modifications that Nilpeter has provided us with will help us enhance our capacity for better results. As labels are an important element of any product, we ensure that the messaging stays put through weather, temperature and chemical extremes.”

Vertex Graphics Process, which won the Printweek Pre-Press Company of the Year in 2019, was established in 2000.

The new venture, Vimal Flexoprint, was started by the three brothers, Dhaval, Ankit, and Prit Kamani under the guidance of Jitubhai Kamani in September 2022 to redefine excellence in label manufacturing, setting new benchmarks for high-quality label solutions.

Dhaval Kamani handles operations and purchases, Ankit Kamani takes care of technology and finance, and Prit Kamani takes care of marketing and sales.

“Our passion for perfection drives us to deliver labels that captivate and elevate brand presence like never before,” Kamani said. “With years of industry expertise, Vimal Flexoprint stands at the forefront of cutting-edge label printing technology. Our team of skilled professionals ensure that every label is a masterpiece of precision and craftsmanship.”

The company’s target segments include foods and beverages; pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, bath and personal care, automobile industries, agro-chemicals, pesticides and agriculture and home care products.

The company’s average print length is 5,000 running metres.

Kamani said the biggest challenges for smaller manufacturers include varying environmental mandates across regions and cost-to-benefit concerns.

He explained, “Consumers are showing more interest in biodegradable and eco-friendly materials. Manufacturing units and printing units try to ensure that the packaging of the product does not increase the cost of the product to such an extent that they lose out on market share and so, try to use materials that are inexpensive and may not be sustainable or eco-friendly. However, environmental mandates in the packaging and labelling industry differ across countries. This makes it challenging for companies to adjust the labelling materials used according to the regulations applicable in that region.”

He said Vimal Flexoprint believes in production with sustainability. “We are always in search of biodegradable and compostable materials to be used, which can be used for eco-friendly concerns. We make sure that adhesives have no animal products. We understand how important is to balance the needs of our consumers, the functionality of our packaging and our brand’s sustainability process,” he said.

He added that the Nilpeter investment has ushered in a new era for the company, propelling its production capacity and efficiency to unprecedented heights.

“With the Nilpeter label flexo printing machine, we have embraced a whole new level of productivity. Its advanced features and cutting-edge technology have enabled us to handle higher volumes with ease, accommodating the growing demands of our valued customers. Our enhanced production capacity means that we can now cater to larger orders without compromising on quality or delivery timelines,” Kamani said.

Kamani said that time is of the essence in the label printing industry, and the new Nilpeter has revolutionised the company’s turnaround times. Thanks to its automated processes and seamless registration capabilities, the company has significantly reduced setup times, minimising downtime between jobs. This newfound efficiency translates into faster project completions, getting labels into the market faster than ever before.

“By streamlining our printing processes and optimising resource utilisation, we have not only reduced wastage but also achieved remarkable cost savings. These benefits, in turn, allow us to offer competitive pricing without compromising on the premium quality of our labels,” he concluded.
