Located in the heart of Tamil Nadu’s spiritual town, Subam has grown steadily since its inception in 1991 under the leadership of their first-generation entrepreneur, M Palani.
“We realise that the era of digital printing is well and truly begun even in Tier II and III cities, and we are looking to capitalise on the momentum. The investment in two of the AccurioPress C3080 presses is a step in that direction,” said Palani.
Their 12,000 sq ft offset printing division boasts of a raft of equipment which includes a Heidelberg SM 74, Amsky CTP and most recently, Suprasetter A75 again from Heidelberg.
“The C 3080 was our final choice after comparing all similar digital presses mainly for its consistent, high-quality prints and higher productivity. We find the press value of money with its flexible engine,” said Palani.
“We were truly impressed with SEAD V (Screen-Enhancing Active Digital) processing system feature which ensures improved image stability. Not to mention its small footprint,” he added.
The AccurioPress C3080 supports auto-duplex banner printing up to 762mm and delivers significantly higher print speeds of 81ppm and 45ppm (both monochrome and colour) for A4 and A3 print jobs, respectively.
The A4 printing speed is consistent at 81ppm for the thickness of up to 216gsm and at 51ppm for paper thickness between 217 and 350gsm. It has a maximum sheet capacity of 15,390 A4 sheets of 80gsm and can support the full range of inline finishing options.
“We have observed a 20% reduction of print cost, which is an added benefit, considering our focus is always on quality,” said Palani.
“I must say Konica Minolta will be our first choice whenever we consider a new branch in the future,” he concluded.
