Srinivasan K Swamy to be inducted into AFAA Hall of Fame

The AFAA Hall of Fame induction, awarded biennially, recognises a single leader who has made an indelible impression on the marcom industry at a pan-Asian level.

Swamy's distinguished career includes serving as the current president of the Advertising Agencies Association of India, a position he previously held for three consecutive terms between 2004 and 2007. His extensive leadership roles span across major industry associations, including being the first Indian to lead the New York-based International Advertising Association (IAA), the Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations (CAAAA), Audit Bureau of Circulations, the India Chapter of the IAA, Advertising Standards Council of India, All India Management Association, The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Madras Advertising Club. Beyond the marcom sector, Swamy also holds significant leadership positions in a major hospital and several important educational and religious institutions.

Over the past two decades, Swamy has been the recipient of numerous international and domestic accolades. This includes IAA Global Compass Award for outstanding contribution to the industry and AdStar Korea Lifetime Honour Award and the Award of Appreciation from Japan Advertising Association for his contribution to Asian Advertising Industry (the only Indian to receive all three honours).
