Sri Balaji Offset has two units in Sivakasi, and including the Rajayalayam unit, a total of 9,600 sqft space. The three units are equipped with as three cutting machines, two single-colour mini-offset machines, two CPC four-colour machines, and the Xerox Iridesse.

“We could manage the long-runs, but short-run jobs were becoming unviable to run on offset presses. That’s when we decided to venture into digital print business to meet our short-run print demands,” said Balaji S, proprietor, Sri Balaji Offset, who along with AR Sivashankar, the CEO, manages the print company.

Xerox Iridesse was Balaji’s first choice, because no other production presses offered specialty colours. “The specialty dry inks and its capability to print silver, gold, white and clear were the deciders. We also received positive feedbacks regarding Xerox services,” said Balaji.

The company started as Sri Balaji Offset Press in Rajapalayam (Tamil Nadu) in 1993 with a treadle machine and later added a single-colour mini offset. In 2006, it expanded its business to Sivakasi with two single-colour offset machines. In 2009, it installed a single-colour Heidelberg, and in 2013, invested in a four-colour Mitsubishi.

The Iridesse machine is a Fiery plus OHCF and banner kit. The company produces short-run jobs like dairy wrappers; education segment; packaging jobs (since the machine can support 400gsm); and calendar jobs (since the machine can support up to 47.2-inch).

The company caters to clients from the spinning mills, education sector, exporters, and the fire works industry.  It employs 34 persons.
