The Ricoh team of Avijit Mukherjee and Anjana Saha announced that they would donate two digital press units worth Rs 1.5 crore free of cost to the college. The Ricoh team signed an MoU with the GJUS&T for the purpose.

Mukherjee said, “Ricoh is helping to transform the print business in India by ensuring young boys and girls can have access to a fully-operational digital print centre.”

According to Mukherjee whilst many print business owners dream of marketing through multiple channels in the hope of staying ahead of today’s competitive marketplace, many more graphic designed-based companies are already doing it - by simply combining the value of print with well-established and emerging digital channels.

Mukherjee said with the Ricoh Pro C 901 and Ricoh Pro 8100 in Hisar, the students can plan, instead of rushing headlong into any dynamic plan of print action. Thereby students can understand that there are a number of requirements the business will need to not only consider, but follow carefully - before you can capitalise on this trend. He said, “It will enable students to understand how to drive the profound and transformative change in print business.”

Ricoh India says it is clear the demand for products and services such as colour digital presses, web-to-print and targeted marketing solutions will continue to grow, so print students will need to follow “the latest and best” to help them stay ahead of the pack.

Mukherjee stated, “Students will need cutting-edge marketing materials to stand out from the crowd. The two Ricohs - the Ricoh Pro C 901 and Ricoh Pro 8100 - will allow the students to get the most out of print operations, with fluid, non-restrictive modes of operation.”
