PrintWeek India’s ownership transfer to Haymarket SAC

Haymarket SAC publishes major motoring titles like Autocar, Autocar Professional, and What Car? besides top tech gadget titles like Stuff and What Hi-Fi?. This move to bring PrintWeek India under the fold is part of the overall restructuring of the organisation. Haymarket SAC will now be publishing six print titles.

PrintWeek India was launched in May 2008 by UK-based Haymarket Group’s subsidiary in India, Haymarket Media India, and since then has grown into India’s leading title for graphic arts industry as well as packaging industry.

Hormazd Sorabjee, publisher and director of Haymarket SAC, said, “PrintWeek India is a popular brand and this restructuring is an extremely positive step both for the title and our company. The move epitomises efficiencies, and a cohesive working environment will give PrintWeek India a solid footing to grow into a dominant market leader in the Indian print industry.”

The transfer takes effect from this month onwards, with the PrintWeek India March 2017 issue under the new management.

Ramu Ramanathan, the editor of PrintWeek India, said the process of transfer has been underway for the last few months, during which period the magazine has delivered impressive results – a grand PrintWeek India Awards, the much sought-after PrintPack 2017 show daily as well as an almost 100+ pages bumper monthly issues. “The print industry is going through challenging times, but there are also exciting things happening. We have a clear vision for the future, which includes more events, more specials and a packaging vertical, all under a strong and committed management team.”
