Multivista Global, a leader in book printing, has been distinguished as the Green Company of the Year in the large category. This prestigious recognition highlights the company’s exceptional dedication to sustainable operations and environmental responsibility.

The company has achieved several pioneering milestones, including becoming the first book printer in India to secure an Ecovadis Gold Medal Certificate for sustainable operations, placing it among the top 5% globally. Multivista Global also boasts a environmental credentials like CDP Climate Action C rating, the highest among Indian printers, and is committed to sustainability targets set by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI).

A cornerstone of Multivista Global’s green strategy is its significant investment in wind energy. This move has substantially increased its renewable energy consumption, with wind power consistently contributing more than its conventional energy sources year after year. The company’s strategic procurement of new presses is also driven by a commitment to reduce energy intensity, aiming for a 10% reduction by 2030. Impressively, Multivista Global has already achieved a 27% reduction in energy intensity.

Continuous energy audits are a regular practice to identify and address areas for further improvement. Future plans include the implementation of solar energy solutions. With a workforce of 199 employees, Multivista Global efficiently manages approximately seven crore impressions monthly across double shifts, six days a week.

Half-yearly training sessions on sustainability are conducted for all employees by external consultants, fostering a culture of environmental awareness. The company is the first printer in India to measure Scope 3 carbon emissions and to complete the environmental questionnaire for the Book Chain Project. These comprehensive and forward-thinking environmental initiatives are the reason the jury felt Multivista Global deserves to be recognised as the Green Company of the Year.
