Khetan Corrucase has been honoured with the Green Company of the Year award in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) category, recognising its commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative practices at its Telangana factory

A cornerstone of Khetan Corrucase’s green initiatives is its captive rooftop solar power plant, which supplies an impressive 80% of the factory’s power requirements, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. Furthering its commitment to clean energy, the company utilises an agro-waste based briquettes power boiler, a sustainable alternative to conventional fuels like wood and coal. An effluent treatment plant recycles ink wash water, and the factory is equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting.

Khetan Corrucase has achieved progress in carbon neutrality, reaching over 45% carbon neutrality within just three years of operation. This achievement is particularly significant as the company aligns its sustainability targets with those of its major MNCs and national brand clients, demonstrating a collaborative approach to environmental responsibility.

Beyond energy and waste management, Khetan Corrucase has made substantial contributions through innovative structural design of its corrugated boxes which has led to the creation of innovative water-resistant corrugated board furniture. This versatile furniture can be deployed in various settings, including homes, hospitals, camps, and other community centres. The company has also designed and developed corrugated beds, offering an eco-friendly, lightweight, high-strength, and water-resistant disposable alternative.

The jury was impressed by the company’s dedication to quality consistency which aims to eliminate rejections during delivery and prevent online rejections from clients, bolstering factory efficiencies and standardising production lines. An understanding of materials is crucial to their success in reducing waste and the ability to optimise sng material handling.

Khetan Corrucase’s exemplary sustainability practices have also earned them the Telangana State Industries Award for Sustainability Practices, and the company is ISO certified. These achievements collectively highlight why Khetan Corrucase is the Green Company of the Year in the SME category.
