The VTM University Certificate printed on PP synthetic paper looks simple, but in reality, it is a security printing job with unique features akin to those we see in currencies, bonds and other security jobs employed to deter duplication.

It was a complex job to design since Global had to add multiple security features along with variable serial numbers, QR codes and barcodes.
The pre-press was outsourced and the job was printed on Yupo YPI 250 paper on a Multitec eight-colour machine with online foiling and a separate unit for variable data printing. Printing included CMYK, invisible ink, fluorescent ink, thermochromic ink, copy void, variable numbering, and barcode.
Post-press, gold hot foil stamping and embossing were added using stamping blocks.
The print run was 2,000 metres.
