“The exhibition has kicked off on a very positive note for us with two deals signed right off on the first day. To top that, four more printers have shown keen interest on our products and we are very positive of closing those deals by the end of the show too,” said P Veeramuthu, managing director of Macro Print Engineers India.

The company which had a phenomenal 2018 with 125 installations are on high with great response to its double side thermal laminator which is touching the 400 installation mark in merely three years.

“The double side thermal laminators are a massive hit for us to the extent that any digital printer who buys an HP Indigo or Konica Minolta immediately looks to us for their lamination solution especially in the photo printing market,” explained Veeramuthu.

“Another successful product in our range is the fully automatic thermal laminator which we have recently innovated to drastically reduce its footprint and made it super compact for the congested shopfloor,” he added.

The recent installation of the fully automatic thermal laminator is at Chennai-based Eagle press where three machines have been installed including the latest compact version.

Talking about PrintPack and the idea of exhibitions, Veeramuthu said, “This is our home organisation's exhibition and we haven't missed a single one since 1996. Worldwide, PrintPack is synonymous with being India's biggest exhibition and is India's version of Drupa.”

“Talking about Drupa, we are one of the two companies from Tamil Nadu who have launched a product in Drupa (in 2009),” he added.

The laminators come with the nano-clean technology, which removes the small dust particles while laminating products and ensure almost zero waste in the process.

“Our sales numbers have steadily grown year on year at about 10-15% mark and we hope 2019 would be more or less the same. I must say we are on the right track with nine installations already completed in January,” concluded Veeramuthu.
