PrintPack 2019: Delhi’s RDA Print Pack buys Dai’s die-cutting kit from Five Star

New Delhi-based RDA Print Pack has purchased an automatic die-cutting machine from Chinese manufacturer Dai’s at the Five Star Printing Machinery stall. The Amritsar-based manufacturer of post-press equipment is the India representative of Dai’s Printing Machine.

RDA Print Pack produces mono cartons, corrugated boxes and labels, besides doing a bit of commercial jobs.

Dai’s D 1060s can cut a sheet of 450x360-mm to 1,060x760-mm at the speed of 7,000 sheets an hour. Around 16-tonne heavy die-cutting machine consumes 18 kw of power.

Vikas Lamba of RDA Print Pack said, “We have four manual die-cutting machines in our production facility. This automatic die-cutting machine will replace all four. Also, the speed and precision of our production will increase with the automatic kit.”

The company, which counts Bosch India, MK Auto, Ajanta Food as its major clients, plans to convert around 50,000 sheets on this die-cutting machine per day. It converts around 80-tonne of paper and board per month, and 50-tonne of kraft for corrugation production and manufacture E and narrow flute. The company’s print production facility is equipped with multiple Heidelberg printing presses, and Polar paper-cutting machines, beside others.

NS Khurana of Five Star Printing Machinery said,” Being a manufacturer of equipment for printing industry, we understand the requirement of printer better. Market is full of die-cutters but quality products are not affordable to everyone. However, we are trying to upgrade the industry from manual to automatic with our products range. It is our first sale, and we are hopeful.”
