"This festival gives us an opportunity to step away from our screens and remember the human connections at the heart of our industry," said Parveen Aggarwal, OPA president. Prof Kamal Chopra, OPA general secretary, added, "As technology changes our work, we must make conscious efforts to preserve the traditions that bind our community."
The day's activities included team games and a comedy performance by Tarun Chawla. Max Rollers, New Delhi, provided gift hampers for attendees.
During the felicitation ceremony, OPA recognised leaders from 17 regional printers' associations.
"When I see printers from across India gathered here, I see the strength of our sector," remarked Rakesh Kansal, general manager of DIC Ludhiana and chief guest for the event.
Ashwani Gupta, president of the All India Federation of Printers and Packagers, noted, "While we honor Gutenberg's legacy, we must also focus on sustainable innovation to meet future challenges." Several attendees commented on the event's networking value. Sandeep Aggarwal of the Delhi Printers Association said, "OPA has created an important platform for industry connections."
The festival concluded with former OPA president Romi Malhotra delivering the vote of thanks. "This gathering in Gutenberg's honour reminds us what our community can achieve together," Malhotra stated.
The event also featured a screening documenting OPA's skill development initiatives in the printing sector.
