Print Vision’s investment in technological upgrades goes beyond just space and presses

Print Vision, jointly helmed by partners Prashant Shinde and Ruturaj Prabhulkar, is setting new benchmarks in the printing industry with its strategic expansion and technological investments. Last year, the company relocated to a 15,000-square-foot facility in Bhumi World, a move that has doubled its production capacity and reaffirmed its commitment to growth and excellence.

Prabhulkar notes, “The expanded footprint allows us to optimise workflows and diversify our services while maintaining the high quality our customers have come to expect.” Shinde reflects, “Our move to the Bhumi World plant has empowered us to embrace larger and more complex projects confidently. The introduction of the Komori presses has been pivotal in elevating our production capabilities, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations with every job.”

Diversification: The cornerstone of leadership

A key factor in Print Vision’s sustained success is its ability to cater to a broad spectrum of print needs— from commercial printing to specialised packaging jobs. “This diversification is how we stand tall within the offset printing market segment,” explains Shinde. “Offering expertise across such varied print domains enables us to serve a wider client base and solidify our leadership.”

Vendor relationships: The backbone of growth

Equally important to its journey has been the company’s strong, long-term partnerships with vendors. “For over 15 years, our vendors have been more than suppliers— they are part of our extended team,” says Prabhulkar. “Their reliability and support form the backbone of our operations, helping us maintain consistent quality and meet demanding schedules.”

Advancing technology and streamlined operations

Print Vision’s investment in technological upgrades goes beyond just space and presses. Recent installations of Bindwel finishing equipment alongside the Komori presses have equipped the company with a world-class production line that embodies modern print technology’s best. “Each equipment upgrade is a deliberate step toward enhancing operational efficiency and service excellence,” emphasises Shinde. “This allows us to meet tight deadlines and offer a broader range of print solutions, bridging traditional offset strength with emerging demands.”

Mastery over colours and print challenges

Success in printing extends beyond machines to the nuanced craftsmanship involved in colour reproduction. Prabhulkar highlights, “Achieving optimal output for colours like purple and reflex blue requires specialised knowledge and spot colours, as they fall outside the standard CMYK spectrum.” Shinde adds, “It’s a combination of technical expertise and the latest equipment that enables us to hit those colour targets consistently.”

Overcoming day-to-day problems

Print Vision’s growth has not been without challenges. Shinde points to the ongoing difficulty in sourcing skilled labour, elongated payment terms from clients, and fierce price competition as key pressures the industry faces. “We tackle these through ongoing training programmes and by nurturing trusted, long-term client partnerships that enable mutual success,” he explains.

One way to overcome the problem is, stand out projects. The production of a limited-edition coffee-table book for a leading bank is a project Print Vision is proud of. It is a technically demanding five-colour print featuring metallic inks and hardcover binding. The project’s inauguration by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat marked an important moment, affirming the company’s reputation for specialised printing. “Such projects showcase our technical capabilities and deepen client trust,” says Prabhulkar.

Looking ahead, both partners foresee hybrid printing—the synergy of offset’s efficiency and digital’s flexibility—as pivotal to industry evolution. Shinde underscores the growing importance of AI-integrated workflow management and automation: “Our ultimate aim is to implement closed-loop automation across all production lines to achieve real-time quality adjustments and seamless workflow integration.”

Service: The cornerstone of client trust

Print Vision’s in-house service model remains a defining strength, covering every stage from prepress through to finishing. “We pride ourselves on delivering a fully integrated experience that assures consistency and quality throughout,” Prabhulkar says. “Our clients value working with us as collaborative partners who proactively plan and execute ideas together.”

Print Vision’s facility, advanced technology, and unwavering dedication to innovation and quality make it future-ready to continue its legacy as a leader in the offset printing industry—advancing with the times while upholding the timeless values of craftsmanship and client partnership.
