Please describe your company.
Based in Jawalapur, Uttarakhand, Maa Gayatri Offset Printers is a second-generation family-owned business focused on roll-to-roll production with flexo and digital printing technologies. Established in 2013–14 as a sister concern of Hindustan Offset (founded in 1997), we cater to cosmetics, nutraceuticals, pharma, FMCG, food & beverages, automotive, electronics, and eCommerce segments. With presses from Mark Andy, Monotech, Multitec, and four digital machines, we handle 120–150 jobs daily and print nearly 50,000-running metres a day, with a turnaround commitment of less than 24 hours. Our strength lies in quick sampling, and high flexibility.
When did you start using the Haotian finishing solution?
We installed the machine this year at our roll-form-focused facility, after detailed consultation and inputs from Packnology’s founder, Brijesh Puri.
What are the properties of the Haotian that you like?
It combines lamination, spot UV, foiling, varnishing, and a registered flexo unit in a single path. This versatility allows us to produce premium embellishments efficiently, particularly for short-run and high-value jobs.
Why did you decide to use the Haotian?
We saw a rising demand for premium finishing in short quantities with faster delivery. Haotian gives us the flexibility to combine multiple embellishments in one pass, saving time, space, and cost. It also opens up new possibilities for cosmetics, nutraceuticals, pharmaceutical, FMCG, and startup brands looking for differentiation.
What features tilted the favour for the Haotian?
Multi-process integration (lamination, foiling, UV, varnish, flexo), modular, customised configuration for our applications. Also the confidence in Packnology’s team and support.
How have these features helped you in production?
We can now finish jobs in one go instead of multiple processes. It has reduced handling, sped up turnaround, and given us flexibility to work across substrates for cosmetics, nutraceuticals, pharmaceutical, beverages, FMCG, and eCommerce packaging.
For what applications is the Haotian used?
Primarily cosmetics, nutraceuticals, pharma labels, FMCG packaging, food and beverage products, and startup brands looking for short runs with premium finishes.
If there’s a critical packaging job that has come your way?
Absolutely. In fact, we have already handled short-run premium pharma jobs with multiple finishes, delivered within 24 hours — something impossible earlier.
Is there anything that you do not like or can be improved about this?
The installation was smooth, and Packnology’s support team ensured a seamless start. As it is a first-of-its-kind customised solution, fine-tuning was necessary, but nothing major to report.
What’s the quality like?
The quality is at par with international finishing machines. For example, we can now offer spot UV with foiling in one pass — with perfect registration and consistency.
How easy is it to use and handle?
The machine is user-friendly and modular, but it is best suited for companies that handle short-run, high-variation, premium jobs where value-addition is a priority.
Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes, because it allows us to save on time, manpower, multiple processes, and wastage while adding premium finishing capabilities. It creates new revenue streams by offering embellishments that clients value.
Were there any difficulties experienced during the use?
Only minor adjustments during the initial setup. Packnology’s team ensured proper training and support, so the transition was smooth.
Who do you think the Haotian is right for?
Ideal for label printers, short-run packaging converters, and companies focusing on FMCG, pharma, and startups who demand speed, premium finishing, and flexibility.
