Established nearly three decades ago in 1996, the Multi Printers Group embarked on its printing journey, initially focusing on pre-press services. Over the years, the company evolved dynamically, embracing new technologies and expanding its services. Notably in 2002, the company ventured into digital printing with the installation of a cut-sheet digital machine, marking its commitment to innovation and quality. Subsequently, in 2006, it embarked on a new phase with an investment in offset printing machines, gradually expanding its business to serve over 250 clients.

The company's willingness to adapt to market requirements and dedication to excellence led to further growth, resulting in the introduction of post-press services in 2015, which included drip-off coating, binding, and slitting jobs. In its pursuit of further innovation and growth in 2023, the company formed a dedicated company Multi-Label Tech-Print to start label printing.

"In our pursuit of excellence, we have always strived to stay ahead of the curve," said Sanjay Kikani, one of the partners at Multi Label Tech-Print. “With the rapid evolution of printing technology, it became imperative for us to explore innovative solutions that could elevate our label printing capabilities.”

He added, “We cater to the label and carton printing requirements of the leading homegrown brands, and they were very much happy with our offerings. As these homegrown brands started becoming big with the advent of expanding e-commerce, they started asking us to supply printed labels in roll form. This made us realise that it’s time for us to invest in Suitable technology to fulfil our growing customer requirements.”

Tushar Sutariya, another partner at Multi-Label Tech-Print, said, “After thorough research on the available flexo printing machines and having several discussions with industry experts and well-wishers, we realised that digital printing is the way for us to cater to diverse and varying volume requirements that our customers have.”

The company experienced the Domino N610i digital label press at the Labelexpo event in Greater Noida.

Sutariya said, “The Domino N610i digital label press got etched into our mind and we believed it would be the perfect solution to meet our label printing requirements. We further engaged with the local representative of the Domino team and agreed to have an in-person demonstration of the machine where our actual jobs were to be printed. We were impressed by the way the entire demonstration was handled. The colour reproduction met our requirements and matched closely to our existing offset printed labels. The Domino applications team explained to us the benefits of Esko Digital Front End and its colour management capabilities. The Domino N610i’s  advanced features and impressive performance convinced us that it was the right investment for our business.”

Since integrating the Domino N610i into its operations, Multi-Label Tech-Print has witnessed a remarkable transformation. Sameer Pancholi, the printing supervisor based in the factory, highlighted the versatility and efficiency of the Domino N610i, saying, “Today, we are proud to offer label printing on various substrates catering to diverse industries such as nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and beverage, agrochemical, home and personal care, etc. The technical features of the Domino N610i when combined with three flexo printing units for inline priming, cold foiling, and varnishing have significantly enhanced our efficiency, resulting in savings through increased productivity and substantial reduction in wastage.”

The Domino N610i has not only boosted operational efficiency but has also fueled business growth for Multi-Label Tech-Print. “More than just selling a digital label press, Domino has played the role of a supporting partner. Its Digital Solution Program is comprehensive and focused on the success of label printers. Their unwavering support, from installation to service, regular handholding, and continuous engagement have been instrumental in our success. Thanks to Domino, our label business has seen a remarkable increase in terms of volumes and net new customers”, said Kikani.

“Sanjay, Tushar, and the entire team at Multi-Label Tech-Print are demanding when it comes to delivering quality products on time to their customers. I experienced the same when I met them for the demonstration of the N610i press. They both were specific about what they wanted as the output. Our team enjoyed fulfilling their requirements. Both partners are always eager to learn and offer their customers something new, enabling them to sell more of their products to the end consumers. Our entire team continues to enjoy working and collaborating with them. I have a lot of confidence in their capabilities to scale their labelling business to newer heights and have multiple Domino N series machines on their shop floor. We are happy to be part of their growth journey,” Ajay RaoRane, vice-president, digital printing at Domino Printech.

The machine installed at Multi-Label Tech-Print is based on the hybrid platform where the Domino N610i print engine is integrated with the advanced flexo printing platform from UV Graphics that comprises 3 Flexo printing stations, cold foiling stations, and a web turn bar for printing specialty labels.
