The company’s presence at CorruPack serves as a testament to the Make in India initiative

At CorruPack 2026, Jalna-based MEPL demonstrated why Indian innovation is leading the global packaging sector. The company’s showcase featured two primary innovations: a high-speed semi-automatic stitching machine and an all-in-one unit capable of both stitching and glueing. According to Ravinder Puri, CEO of MEPL, this integrated system is the only one of its kind globally, providing a solution for single-piece and two-piece boxes that major international competitors have yet to replicate.

The technical highlight of the MEPL stall was the Double-Head Box-Stitching Machine. Unlike standard units that require multiple passes for complex boxes, this machine utilises two heads—one inverted relative to the other—to stitch two-piece boxes from the top and bottom simultaneously. This cuts production time, allowing the machine to achieve an output of 1,600 to 1,700 boxes per hour. For standalone operations, their dedicated glueing units reach speeds of 2,000 boxes per hour, while the stitching-only units maintain a pace of 1,800.

MEPL’s first stitching machine, launched in 2012, took two years to develop under the guidance of the founder. Today, the facility in Maharashtra produces eight machines per month, catering to a market that values high-speed domestic solutions.
