Made in India at Labelexpo: Global ascent in manufacturing

India's packaging and labelling industry is set to make a significant global impact at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, with several leading Indian companies showcasing their cutting-edge innovations under the Made in India banner. From sustainable solutions to advanced digital platforms and security features, these firms are poised to highlight India's growing prowess in the international market.

Newgen Printronics, the exclusive partner for Durst in India and Sri Lanka, will be a focal point, demonstrating how Durst workflow and analytics can revolutionise production units with real-time monitoring and AI-driven tools. Beyond Durst, Newgen will spotlight solutions from Omet, Polly Automatics, Packers, Berhalter, Heaford, Rotary Technologies, and Lundberg Tech, positioning itself as a comprehensive solutions provider. Selvaraj Venkatesh, the managing director at Newgen, also confirmed new offerings in RFID, flexible packaging, digital die-cutting, slitter rewinders, and laser converting.

Vinsak, in collaboration with its Barcelona-based group company Rotatek, will present a blend of Indian precision and Spanish passion. Their stand will feature the Label-Decore, a modular finishing machine for embellishments, with live demonstrations. Rotatek will also open its Barcelona plant for visitors to see the new Universal 850 press, designed for a variety of packaging needs.

Acme Rolltech is set to impress with its ACE (Advanced Channel Engravings) technology, which offers a unique blend of tonal range and density for flexo printing. The company will also showcase specialty aniloxes for tactile effects, opaque white, glitter, and textured finishes, cementing its reputation with over 1,200 customers in 30 countries.

Cosmo Films will highlight its Green Graphics Film, a PVC-free alternative that prints and performs like PVC, offering a sustainable solution for large-format graphics. Kulbhushan Malik, global business head at Cosmo noted the product's strong traction and seamless compatibility with various printing systems. The gloss version will debut in Barcelona, with a matte finish to follow.

Galaxy PackTech will introduce the GS 24 Plus 200, a high-speed pouch-making machine designed for versatility and precision, producing stand-up, three-side seal, and zipper pouches with servo-driven accuracy. Its compatibility with recyclable mono-materials underscores a commitment to efficiency and sustainability.

Jindal Films is advancing recycled content in labelling films with its Label-Lyte Facestock 58RLC346M30, the first certified mechanically recycled white cavitated PP label film with 30% post-consumer content. This innovation offers strong ink adhesion and adhesive anchorage, providing a barrier against migrating adhesive components and resisting high humidity.

Chennai-based Monotech Systems will showcase Tracesci, its division dedicated to brand protection, track and trace, and consumer engagement. Visitors can see the compact Tracesci Loop in action, a tabletop machine for label verification, and witness the reveal of an all-new, fully automated Tracesci system that blends high-speed printing with real-time data capture and security.

Holostik will headline its Paperogram, an eco-friendly paper-based hologram, positioned as a mass-market alternative to polyester films. Designed for FMCG, pharma, and personal care, it combines sustainability with tamper-proof security. Ankit Gupta, joint managing director at Holostik Group, emphasised that the Paperogram signals a future where brands can have both sustainability and security.

These Indian companies are collectively demonstrating that the Made in India label signifies innovation, sustainability and cutting-edge technology on the global stage of Labelexpo Europe 2025.
