Speaking to PrintWeek/WhatPackaging?, Bharti Aggarwal, director for sales at NBG, said, “The S430 has all the standard features of the basic label press, including code foil, UV LED.”

The Starflex series is a modular multi-process combination press and is also used for printing specialised and unique graphics for multi-layer/booklet labels, and security printing for applications like scratch cards.

Launched in 2018, NBG has installed five S430 flexo presses in India.

With Starflex, NBG can provide certain customisations customers need, such as offset, gravure, rotary screen, and digital printing makes, said Aggarwal. “This makes it a versatile machine that can be used for multiple applications,” she added.

So, what differentiates NBG’s products from others in the market? According to Aggarwal, NBG is perhaps the only company which makes flexo presses in widths from 250-mm to 1.8-mt. “We covered the complete gamut of products in flexible printing,” she added.

End-to-end, the making and installation of the machine takes three months from the time of order. This is something that Aggarwal believes will reduce once the supply chain stabilises.

Aggarwal revealed that NBG has been getting good responses from clients and potential clients at the exhibition. “We feel that we got better responses today than we did yesterday. This is something that is not unusual, and we are also expecting a couple of good inquiries as well,” she said, adding, “We have got a few multi-machine deals on hand. Still, we do not usually announce who the customers are until the machines get installed at their facility.”
