28 Indian companies to participate at Abu Dhabhi book fair

Over 28 Indian companies will participate alongside award winning Indian authors at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), being held from 15 to 20 March, 2011

Capexil, the Export Promotion Council of India, will support Indian companies participating at the ADIBF.

The Indian companies exhibiting at the ADIBF include XACT Studio International, iPublish Center, Q2A Media Services, Sterling Publishers, Taxmann Publications, Star Publishers & Distributors, Olive Publications, Jaypee Brothers Medical Publisher, Macaw Books, Discovery Publishing House, DC Press, Diamond Pocket Books, Anmol Publications and Academic (India) Publishers.

In an effort to promote exchange and trade between India and the Middle East publishing industry, the German Book Office, New Delhi in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is organising the collective stand of Indian publishers, for the third time this year.

The eight companies participating include Aadarsh, AIETS.com, Cinnamon Teal Print and Publishing, Good Luck Publishers, Goyal Publishers & Distributors, Mapin Publishing, Ratna Sagar and TERI Press

ADIBF will also display and hold for sale the Wink e-reader for the first time, courtesy of EC Media (International). This state-of-the-art device is supported by 15 different languages and electronically offers over 2,00,000 book titles, making it a very attractive commodity for the international book market.

Akshay Pathak, the director of German Book Office based in New Delhi will give a market presentation on the Indian book industry. In addition, award-winning Indian authors will entertain visitors with literary and intellectual debates, including Thoppil Mohamed Meeran, K Satchidanandan and Kenize Mourad.
