HCBMA, Robus India collaborate for skill development programmes

Haryana Corrugated Box Manufacturers Association (HCBMA), in association with Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers (FCBM), organised a meet and greet event on 11 October at Antlia by Zion in Sonipat. 

Sponsored by Robus India and a host of other companies, main objective of the event was to hone the skills of professionals in the Indian corrugated industry through well-designed new programmes. 

Among the keynote speakers present at the event revolving around learning, networking, and celebration was Alok Gupta, chairman, taxation and legal matters, FCBM, who addressed about the new aspects of the recent changes in GST. 

In the subsequent insightful session, Adv Paras Devgun talked about the provisions of MSME schemes in the industry.

In the process of the meet, a MoU between HCBMA and Robus India was signed for establishing a collaborative framework to promote skill development programmes for the personnel engaging in auto die cutting and folder gluing jobs. 

Prem Vishwakarma, managing director of Robus India, said the main aim of the MoU is to enhance the technical competency, operational efficiency, and knowledge of machinery among the member units of HCBMA. 

As a leading producer of carton packaging machines, Robus India’s expertise extends over folder gluers, die-cutters, and laminators catering to the folding cartons and corrugated industries. 

Vishwakarma further mentioned that the scope of the MoU will be the machine availability, training by skilled team, skill matrix and certification, support from manufacturer, programme costs, and so on. 

Attended by a host of leading corrugated box manufactures and suppliers from different parts of Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and beyond, special highlights at the meet and greet event included major announcements on associates for skill development centres, unveiling of new district chapters, and launch of the HCBMA Connect App. Closure of the event was marked with an imposing presentation on the working of HCBMA and FCBM.
