Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu-based Green Print recently invested in a brand-new Canon ImagePress V1000.

P Rikanth, proprietor of Green Print, said, “It’s been quite some time since we started running Canon digital presses as key machines in our facility. This latest one, I mean this iPRV1000, is the third Canon press in the facility. To be honest, we have totally been smitten by the Canon presses because of their outstanding features, capabilities and operator friendliness.”

He added, “This newly installed iPR V1000 is now solely using for printing PVC stickers, a job perfectly matched with this advanced digital colour production system and the end result is amazing. We have a vast client base in which a host of them are prominent sea food manufacturing companies. These sea food companies deal with end customers who are not just locals but based outside Tamil Nadu or even in the offshore markets. So, they engage in exports business too.”

He continued, “It’s not just a mundane task of printing PVC stickers when we do it for these sea food companies whose products and brands are sold widely. They want to make the looks of their products standard and impressive. That’s why they devote to making impressive packaging and labelling of their products in a standard manner. In the process, they approach us to print their PVC stickers uniquely. We print them on our new iPR V1000 and finished products come out unique.”

Upgraded with latest features, iPR V1000 is capable to operate at an unprecedented print speed of 100 A4 pages ppm, delivering graphic prints in resolution of 2,400x2,400-dpi. It supports varied media ranging from 52- up to 400-gsm. “This Canon press seamlessly prints on all types of media – thin, recycled, coated, embossed, bond, transparent, label, pre-punched, envelope, synthetic, magnetic and many more. This is why this press is the right machine to churn the stickers for our quality-conscious sea food clients,” Rikanth said.

Established in 2016, Green Print is currently operated by a team of seven skilled staff members. Along with PVC stickers, which they exclusively produce on the new iPR V1000, they also cater other end-products like cards of all kinds including customised invitation cards on textured media and metallic boards, ID cards, brochures, catalogues, fliers, etc. using two other Canon digital colour production presses, iPR C910 and iPR C600, which were already running productively in their production setup. They engage in packaging too.

Rikanth concluded, “Our story of Canon is not ended here. We look forward to installing more new models as per our requirement soon.”
