BST Eltromat which is a pioneer in quality assurance system for web processing industry worldwide is planning to demonstrate iPQ Center with iPQ Check & iPQ View modules and the same will be our flagship product during PackPlus.

Garvit Garg of Boston Polymers said, “The Indian packaging industry is growing.” He added, “Compared to FY15 statistics, Indian packaging industry is worth USD$32 billion. If we see the current statistics growth rate, this figure will be doubled by 2020.”

Boston Polymers will show three new products like Silage Film used in the packing of agriculture products, anti-static films used in the industries, VCI film for protection of product from rust.

Craig Du Mez of Quadtech said, “We expect the packaging market in India to grow somewhere between 10-15% in the coming year. That optimism is driven by the growing trend of supermarkets and packaged food habits. We believe the market for this is largely untapped, and local demand is definitely on the rise. Some factors that contribute to increasing buying power include a stable political situation, two years of good monsoon seasons, and major tax reform.”

Quadtech which launched several new products for packaging printers during Drupa 2016 will consolidate that platform. Craig Du Mez said, “One technology that we believe will transform the industry is our ColorTrack™ software.” With ColorTrack, QuadTech has developed a “colour expert in a box” that automates the process of delivering absolute consistency from press-to-press, shift-to-shift, and plant-to-plant. ColorTrack is a unique new colour management software for flexo and gravure packaging applications. Without any hardware modifications to the press, ColorTrack software seamlessly integrates with ink recipe software to not only simplify workflow, but also dramatically reduce the number of ink corrections needed to achieve accurate, optimal colour. With human colour experts, three to five colour corrections on startup are typical for a new job—or even six to eight for difficult colours.

Du Mez emphasised that ColorTrack can achieve more accurate colour “in one or two corrections”. He added, “It’s the only software solution that offers this level of press-side connection between colour measurement and ink management.”

Quadtech will also display its modernised 100% Inspection System, which is now built on QuadTech’s popular Icon integrated platform.

And finally, Ram Grover of Elesa and Ganter India said, “The Indian economy is growing and so is the packaging industry. As growth rides on increased industrial production and international trade, demands on package converters have become more intense and sophisticated. Within India, increasing penetration of organised retail and increasing preference for branded products has added fuel to the demand for flexible packaging solutions. Machines and advanced technologies for the flexible packaging industry has to meet the rising requirement."
