EFI Pro 32r+ increases VGA’s print capacity

Pune-based VGA Digital Printers has installed an EFI Pro 32r+ roll-to-roll LED UV inkjet printer. The machine was supplied by Ahmedabad-based Arrow Digital.

According to Vyankatesh Mandke, director, VGA Digital Printers, the EFI Pro 32r+ is faster, has more capabilities to print on diverse substrates, and the ink is much more economical. “It increases our capacity with higher speeds and at the same time lowering the printing cost per square foot,” he added.

The machine offers users the ability to drive greater efficiency for faster and turnkey production. Its key additions include optional inline slitters, automatic blackouts, back-to-back printing, and an iPhone application.

Sam Patel, CEO and managing director at Arrow Digital, said, “It’s a mixed bag of quality, affordability and flexibility. The EFI Pro 32r+ can print up to 3.2 metres, with the industry’s popular printhead, the Ricoh Gen 5. With the seven-pL ultra drop technology, it delivers rich graphics and text with outstanding smoothness in shadows, gradients, and transitions with a true resolution of up to 847-dpi
and a printing speed of 2,756-sqft.”

According to the company, the EFI Pro 32r+ offers four-colour plus optional white with EFI Ultra Drop technology for those who want ultra-quality, ultra-crispness, and ultra-capabilities, the results are ultra-impressive. “The LED technology increases the ability to do more for less,” Patel added.

Mandke said, “We started in the digital wide-format with Arrow and Vutek around 20 years ago with solvent printing and we are now moving into the next phase, which is LED UV. We look forward to adding more printers from Arrow soon.”
