In a significant strategic move, Edale, a specialist in flexographic printing and converting machinery, is set to rebrand its label and carton product lines. This initiative aims to align Edale's offerings more closely with the product range of Canon, which acquired Edale in 2022.
The rebranding marks the initial phase of a broader refresh for Edale's product portfolio. Both the label and carton platforms will adopt new naming conventions, transitioning to Edale LabelLine and Edale CartonLine, respectively. According to the company, machines within these platforms will also be further categorised to assist customers in easily identifying the appropriate level of capability for their specific applications.
Lachlan Buirds, the managing director at Edale, emphasised that this change goes beyond mere nomenclature. "It’s more than a name change, it’s about bringing greater clarity, confidence, and cohesion to how we present our technology globally," Buirds said. He further assured that the company's fundamental strengths – its engineering pedigree, automation expertise, and commitment to customer growth – will remain steadfast.
Edale plans to disclose more details regarding its product portfolio refresh in the coming weeks and months. A key event will be Labelexpo Europe in Barcelona next month, where Edale will exhibit alongside Canon Europe, showcasing an Edale CartonLine machine in operation at their stand.
Furthermore, this new naming convention will also apply to Edale's operations in India.
