The new Drupa insights format has been developed in cooperation with Alliance Insights, the research division of Printing United Alliance. Access is available via one-time, free registration on the Drupa website.

Drupa insights provides in-depth analyses of technological developments, market changes and economic trends.

It is based on international studies and research and, at launch, the platform is focusing on three topics: the growing importance of label and packaging printing, advances in artificial intelligence and robotics, and the increasing automation of production processes.

Drupa said that with Drupa insights, the concept of its former Global Trends Report is being transformed into an ongoing digital publishing format.

Instead of an annual report, the new platform “will offer regularly updated content that addresses developments in a timely manner and provides structured analysis”.

Drupa insights also forms part of the 2028 show’s strategic repositioning as a component of the thematic LEARN cluster.

Sabine Geldermann, director of Drupa, portfolio print technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, said: “Through Drupa insights, we are pooling international expertise and creating a reliable foundation for market and future analyses. Our goal is to support companies in strategically navigating industry transformation.”

Drupa 2028 will run for nine days from 9-17 May that year at Messe Düsseldorf. Exhibitor registration opened earlier this month.

The event is set to bring together the international print and packaging community across all industrial processes, from machine and technology providers to software and workflow specialists, brand owners, designers and the creative industry.

The prior 2024 outing attracted 1,643 exhibitors and 170,000 visitors.
