Pardiwala: "30%-50% cost advantage over inline closed-loop systems"

The EZC is an advanced digital inking solution that enhances printing efficiency and quality. It has a digital ink pump to ensure accurate ink discharge, high colour accuracy, automated ink management, and a user-friendly interface. The EZC intelligent ink system aims to reduce waste and printing costs while maintaining consistent high quality.

First introduced at Drupa 2016, the Cron EZC has evolved significantly over the past eight years. According to Akshat Pardiwala, director at Nippon, it now features improved ink control algorithms, enhanced automation, better integration with modern systems, greater environmental benefits, upgraded user interfaces, and increased reliability and ease of maintenance.

The EZC intelligent ink system is designed for easy installation on most mainstream offset printing press models, regardless of whether they use conventional or UV ink.

Pardiwala explained that the system effectively tackles worldwide challenges associated with inaccurate ink distribution and colour inconsistency in traditional ink fountain systems. "These issues are typically"influenced by factors such as ink and environmental conditions."

The EZC intelligent ink system employs sophisticated ink control algorithms to determine the ink volume for printing images precisely. This is achieved through the utilisation of an expert database. Pardiwala noted, "The system enhances production efficiency by reducing the frequency of ink refills. EZC enhances intelligent printing, diminishing the dependence on manual labour."

The EZC system's environmentally friendly design reduces resource usage, including paper, ink, time, and effort.

Pardiwala stated that it also provides a 30%-50% cost advantage over inline closed-loop systems, delivering a high return on investment for printing companies.
