With printing in his blood, the newly elected president of Delhi Printers’ Association Rajiv Gupta was born in Delhi on 11 May 1957. He joined his family’s printing business Nav Laxmi Press while as a student in school. In those days, there were only a few presses which undertook security printing jobs. Nav Laxmi Press was one such famous name in the walled city and it had many prominent banks as its satisfied customers.

After completing his BA from Dayal Singh College, Gupta devoted full time to his new unit Press of India. In the face of subsequent competition, from new entrants with latest security printing techniques, Gupta utilised his sharp acumen for business and managed to remain afloat.

In order to remain updated with the latest development in printing industry and to interact with fellow printers, Gupta joined Delhi Printers’ Association in 1985 and became an executive committee member. He also served DPA as joint-Secretary as well as vice-president for several terms. During the 2016-2017 tenure, Gupta served as honorary general secretary.

Rajesh Sardana defies age with his progressive ideas and non-conservative outlook towards life and society. He is a graduate from Delhi University. He joined Cambridge Press when he was just 18. This press is one of the oldest printing presses of India with its inception in 1925-1926. Sardana has been a printer for more than four decades in this press.

A philanthropic, Sardana lends his money, time and energy to the not-so-fortunate kids of Jagriti the Banyan Tree School, where these kids are taught the basic education. He has travelled extensively around the world and is an avid vintage car collector and a rare bird photographer.

He is known as a trouble shooter, as he finds a solution of any problem that crops up and does not bicker around in arguments. Previously, he was the vice-president of DPA and has been in the executive committee since 2005-2006. He was also the treasurer of the All India Federation of Master Printers in the year 2013-2014.

With many feathers in his cap, the newly-elected Treasurer of Delhi Printers’ Association Mahinder Budhiraja was born at Bathinda 16 November 1955. He took his education in Delhi and entered the printing business Em Kay Printers in 1975 which he has been running successfully with active assistance from his son Anuj.

Ever since Budhiraja joined DPA, he has been taking energetic participation in its activities by serving not only as joint-secretary and vice-president, but also as chairman or convener of association’s annual Printers’ Day as well as free general health and eye check-up camps from time to time.

With a bent of mind for social service, Budhiraja has been serving society by being on top posts of a number of such institutions. Similarly, after remaining on senior posts of Lion’s Club International, presently he is the district governor of Allianz Club International and is also a PRO of North Multiple. He is a founder president of Delhi Printers Club, which keeps on passing on its members the latest information on government schemes and other details about the industry.

In addition to being a known printer, Budhiraja is also a Guinness World Record-holder magician. He is the General Secretary of India Brotherhood of Magicians which he also helped win the Guinness World Record.
