After its showcase at Labelexpo Europe 2025, the Spande S7 eight-colour flexo press line is set to make its India debut with an upcoming installation at Citrus Innovations, Hyderabad.
This installation highlights Spande’s global leadership in flexo technology and Provin Technos’ mission to bring world-class innovations to India.
The advanced S7 press comes equipped with two die-cutting stations, a lamination unit, and a sheeter for carton production. With the ability to print on a wide range of substrates from 12 to 450 microns, including labelstock, unsupported films, paper, and boards up to 450-gsm, the press is designed for both label and carton applications.
The innovations include eight servo motors per print unit for superior precision; iPressure technology for automatic pressure adjustment and iVision closed-loop autoregistration for intelligent, real-time accuracy.
Chenga Reddy, CEO of Citrus Innovations, said that the true strength of the Spande S7 lies in its advanced automation, which brings an unmatched level of ease to flexo label printing. “Even a layman can operate this press. All it takes is entering the substrate thickness, placing the flexo plate cylinders, and pressing the start button,” he explained.
He added that Citrus Packaging will soon be expanding into RFID labels, tags, and solutions, targeting emerging segments such as retail garments, premium luxury products, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
Akshay Kaushal of Provin Technos said, “We are excited for this new partnership with Citrus and are sure that the new project will be a big success for Citrus, Provin and Spande.”
He added, “Spande is all set to change the game with its next generation flexo press line up and we will be seeing more new projects coming up soon.”
