A Canon loyalist, the company’s two production units are homes to a fleet of most advanced and latest Canon digital presses.
“It has been barely a month or so since we installed the ImagePress V1350 in our commercial printing unit, while the other unit is designated for photo printing to produce end products like wedding photo albums and others,” N Mallesh Patil of Chinnu Graphics said. He added that overall printing tasks in both the facilities were managed by three ImagePress C10000VP machines, but one has now been replaced by the new ImagePress V1350.
Patil said, “When we were in pursuit of an advanced digital production press for boosting productivity and quality print outputs in our commercial printing unit, we checked all possible machines of all brands readily available in the market, but none could compare with the ImagePress V1350. It was then an obvious reason for us to go for this Canon press which boasts superb print quality, media flexibility, registration, quick turnaround times, and many other features.”
Designed to propel productivity and print versatility, ImagePress V1350 is compatible with media up to 500-gsm. “No other digital presses in its class can handle media of such grammage. This is the prowess of ImagePress V1350 when it comes to media handling and flexibility. Following the installation of this Canon machine, we have garnered a new range of excellent printing possibilities, making it a versatile solution for producing outstanding applications, such as matte finishes,” Patil said.
Bundled with Hyper Fiery software, ImagePress V1350 operates in an impressive print speed of 135-ppm, delivering graphic prints in resolution of 2400x2400-dpi. “Our volume of production is varied from today to another day. However, we have catered around 250,000 A3 size sheets in colour since we installed this new Canon workhorse a month ago,” Patil said, adding that it allows both-side printing too. He added that ImagePress V1350 is a lone ranger which currently works alone for all types of applications at Chinnu Graphics.
Chinnu Graphics engages in commercial printing and production of business cards, ID cards, invitations, envelopes, leaflets, manuals, flyers, brochures, etc. “After all, as ImagePress V1350 has now enabled us to print on thicker media up to 500gsm, our applications have expanded to gift boxes made of directly-printed boards,” he said.
Chinnu Graphics’ clientele consists of jobbers and mid-agencies who work directly for corporate clients.
When asked about Chinnu Graphics’ next-step future plan on the machinery front, Patil said the company is further looking for adding yet another ImagePress V1350 to be installed in its commercial printing unit by December this year.
