CanTech The Grand Tour on 17-19 February

In its second year, CanTech The Grand Tour, a conference for metal packaging manufacturers from across the globe, will be held in New Delhi from 17-19 February 2020.

The conference assembles technical experts from global suppliers and their customers, maximising the channels of communication between key decision makers in the metal packaging industry and providing can makers with access to the latest in efficient and flexible production technologies.

Among the speakers, Prakash Nedungadi of Aditya Birla Group will deliver one of the keynote addresses. Nedungadi is currently head for consumer insights and brand development at the Aditya Birla Group. Nedungadi works with the group’s B2B and B2C businesses to develop strong customer preference and build powerful brands.

With 27 years of leadership experience behind him, Nedungadi has managed many leading global brands across a range of product categories and also has wide-spread knowledge of consumer-related insights and trends. He has worked throughout India, the Middle East, Africa and Europe in marketing, sales and management roles for companies such as Unilever, Gillette and Protector and Gamble. He has also been CEO of Madura Garments, India’s leading branded apparel business within the Aditya Birla Group.

Amit Lahoti, managing director, India for Ball Beverage Packaging (India), will also act as a keynote speaker on 19 February, as well as a panellist on the Candid Forum on the same day. Lahoti will be presenting on ‘The Aluminium Opportunity for India’.

An accomplished business leader with over two decades experience across general management, finance, commercial and supply chain in the packaging industry, Lahoti has spent a considerable part of his career with Ball Corporation.

He is the managing director for the company’s India beverage packaging business where Ball have two manufacturing facilities servicing the Indian market, as well as various export markets in Asia and Africa.
