Bhausaheb Patil of Sakal Group no more
Sakal Media Group director-operations, Bhausaheb Patil, 55, passed away on 8 October after a brief illness. He had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pune for the past few days. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.

Patil worked in Sakal Media Group for the last 34 years. He joined Sakal (Kolhapur) in 1986 as a trainee engineer.
He has been instrumental in inculcating new technologies in the organisation from the traditional method of printing. After Kolhapur, he came to Pune.
He consistently brought modern technology to various sections of the organisation. He was instrumental in improving and expanding the production department of Sakal Group.
He made special efforts to increase the use of computers. He took the initiative in setting up printing presses for different versions. This improved the morning delivery system by making the printing work faster and better. He has been instrumental in starting printing presses in Goa, Solapur, Aurangabad and Nagpur.
He was also honored by Wan-Ifra for his quality enhancement in the newspaper, including the use of technology in Sakal's digital and various departments.
