The new investment is expected to help Wallqueen lead the market in customised interior decor with its efficiency and speed

The new investment is expected to help Wallqueen lead the market in customised interior decor with its efficiency and speed, which is three times faster than the average competition.

Mubasheer Ahmed Shariff and Sonia Shariff, directors at Wallqueen Interiors, said, the new addition will increase demand for customised interior decor and Wallqueen Interiors is confident in the new technology.

“The trend in interior design is moving towards personalisation, with people wanting to decorate their homes, offices, workplaces, gyms, and holiday homes in unique ways that reflect their personalities and tastes. This trend is reflected in the growth of the wall decor business, as people seek out customised and personalised wall graphics and wall murals,” they said.

Sam Patel, CEO and MD at Arrow Digital, said, the Canon Colorado 1650 is packed with innovations. “It is a 64-inches wide production printer with a resolution of 1800-dpi. The new flexible inks and FLXfinish+ feature enable you to enjoy a wider application range with jaw-dropping quality and advanced productivity, all this at the lowest cost of ownership,” he said.

The Colorado 1650 works with a new version of Canon UVgel ink, designed for maximum flexibility by increasing the stretchability of each cured ink droplet. The Canon UVgel inks are odourless and certified with Greenguard Gold by UL Environment, Type II by ASTM, allowing them to be safe for indoors. They are also certified by Media Partners for 3M MCS Warranty and Avery Dennison ICS Warranty.

The Canon Colorado 1650 is designed for high speed, efficiency, and quality, making it ideal for automating wallpaper production. The printer is three times faster than the average of its competitors, across each quality mode tested. It is well-suited for the wallpaper production process, offering high throughput and consistent quality. The combination of the Canon Colorado 1650 and the Fotoba 170 WP allows for complete automation of the wallpaper graphics process, reducing human interventions and increasing precision.

The Shariffs added, “We are very excited to finally install the Canon Colorado 1650. It is the perfect print platform for us and after working with Arrow Digital for several years and having taken trials on several media at their demo centre, we are finally off to the races. We are confident we will be adding more printers in the very near future, not to mention the Fotoba finisher is a masterstroke for our wallpaper business. We will soon be converting the Canon and Fotoba into a wallpaper factory with jumbo rolls saving us a lot of time, money, and resources.”
