Basant enhances efficiency with new Bindwel

The Meerut-based printer also known in the trade as Vardhman Books took delivery of the six-clamp BW@2500 during the Kumbh mela. Owner Ayush Jain was in the market for a kit that could ensure he creates educational and children books.  Jain said, "Earlier we had a WB@2000 from Bindwel. Now our production volume has increased and we tried to outsource the additional jobs but there we were facing issues with the quality of book binding, delivery on schedule and added costs." Which is why the group invested in the WB@2500. 

The Bindwel is housed in a 24,000 sq/ft area and is run by a team of hundred who produce books in two shifts. Ayush Jain said, the new investment will target the Mumbai market especially commercial printers and canvasers who have short-run publication requirements.

Jain continued, "We are very happy to make children books on time and with the best quality with each and every book project." The group boasts of the Infinity and Neo Star book series.

Balaji boasts of a big volume project with an impossible deadline. This is the Pikaso book series which was a run of two lakh books. Of this 40,000 books were produced in one day in order to meet the deadline.

The Balaji team is delighted with the tech support for the six-clamp perfect binder BW@2500. Jain said, "Bindwel sent a service engineer who serviced and made the machine usable before our timeline. This was during the Kumbh Mela where all the routes to-and-fro were closed because of the mela."
